Just before New York Fashion Week in September 2024, luxury clothing label Who Decides War teased its first ever collaboration with Jordan Brand. The template for this budding partnership was a new silhouette known as the Jordan Flight Court – a low-top sneaker infused with the legacy and style of classic Jordan designs. Who Decides War co-founder Téla D’Amore was approached directly by the American footwear brand to help introduce the Flight Court and given creative freedom over its look.

Having grown up around skateboarding culture thanks to her younger brother’s love for the sport, D’Amore envisioned the model as a “multipurpose, everyday” skate shoe, leaning into this style during her time on the Nike campus to produce six different versions of the Flight Court in a single day. She employed a similar creative process to the one used at Who Decides War, choosing high-quality materials that mature well in both function and aesthetic. The brand’s signature embroidery was added to the shoe’s stress points and its look elevated through the application of compelling visual and textural accents. As a result, when the Jordan Flight Court ‘Téla’ was showcased on the New York runway, it presented the perfect blend of D’Amore’s unique stylistic vision and Jordan Brand’s rich sporting heritage.
