Tatum 4
Jayson Tatum won his first NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 2024, but the following year, as his team pushed for another title, he suffered a season-ending Achilles injury. Five months later, with Tatum on his road to recovery, Jordan Brand marked the beginning of a new chapter for the powerful forward by releasing his next signature shoe, the Tatum 4.
The Jordan Tatum 4’s lightweight upper features a four-way stretch fabric with soft suede panelling that conforms to the foot for a locked-in fit and personalised feel. These plush materials offer a broken-in sensation straight out of the box, while strategically placed flex bands on the flanks facilitate fluid movement. Lastly, the mesh midfoot panels and tongue bring cooling ventilation to the entire foot.
A full-length slab of lightweight Cushlon 3.0 foam forms the midsole of the Jordan Tatum 4, providing a compelling blend of comfort, impact absorption and responsiveness. Forefoot Zoom Air enhances this propulsive effect for a feeling of dynamic springiness as the TPU midfoot shank stabilises the foot and the high-performance S-Seam Strobel ensures smooth transitions.
Underfoot, the rubber outsole includes an outer portion with a forward-facing herringbone tread and a central zone featuring a radial herringbone pattern. Together, they deliver excellent multidirectional traction, which supports confident, efficient movement during high-intensity matches. All of these materials have been carefully chosen to ensure that the Tatum 4 is the lightest shoe in Jordan’s elite basketball lineup.
Alongside its high-performance, court-ready build, the Jordan Jordan Tatum 4 has a bold, stylish aesthetic created by the elegant design lines flowing down its sides and into the midsole. A jewelled “0” adorns the heel in an eye-catching reference to Tatum’s jersey number and his famous diamond chain pendant. Meanwhile, a Jumpman logo decorates the lateral flank, with another etched into the heel rubber, and Tatum’s own JT logo is embroidered on the tongue. The record-breaking player’s inspirational motto, “Find a Way”, is also embossed onto the lateral sole as a nod to his resilient personality.
Ahead of the Tatum 4’s release in October 2025, it was debuted on court by fellow Jordan Brand athlete Dana Evans as she helped the Las Vegas Aces win the 2025 WNBA championship. Thanks to her incredible performances and the shoe’s exhilarating style, the ‘St. Louis’ launch colourway was a big success. Designed to honour Tatum’s roots, its bright Siren Red outer and expressive Football Grey and Metallic Silver highlights reflect the city’s dynamic energy.
The Jordan Tatum 4 builds upon the strength of its predecessors by introducing innovative features and bold details that are ideal for Tatum and other modern players who constantly strive to improve and evolve the game.
