Smooth black leather covers the outer of these Nike Air Force 1 ‘07s, bringing them a sleek appearance. Starting in the forefoot, a protective mudguard encloses the toe box, whose lines of perforations form a fan-like configuration across its surface. At the top of this section, the eyestay begins, its asymmetrical eyelets zigzagging upwards towards the collar. Black laces thread through them, and a silver lace lock debossed with AF1 text inside a fine rectangle lends the shoe a sophisticated look.

Meanwhile, the midfoot and rear sections are overlaid with smooth black swooshes whose tails connect to the heel panel. Familiar Nike Air branding has been sewn into this feature, and the same can be said for the tongue patch, its black on black design meaning that the text appears subtly upon it. On the shoe’s inner, a more dynamic contrast can be seen. Though the inner lining and much of the insole are black, distinctive emblems stand out in a lighter tone. On the right foot, a large white graphic that looks like a coat of arms sits on the heel of the insole. Its centre is decorated with black Nike Air and Air Force 1 lettering. Then, on the left foot, a smaller white emblem has been placed further forward on the left side of the insole, this time with the number 82 in black. This symbolises the year that the first AF1 was made, finishing off the sneaker by paying homage to a piece of Nike’s history.
