Nike Air Force 1 Low x Supreme

This suave Nike Air Force 1 Low x Supreme is the result of a strong collaboration between Nike and the New York skateboarding brand. Almost the entire shoe is coated in a rich mahogany tone called Baroque Brown, starting from the outsole. Made of rubber, this stocky feature has been given a variety of tread patterns to make it extra grippy. There are concentric circular structures below both the heel and forefoot, with linear indentations connecting the two beneath the arch of the foot. Here, a Nike-branded section can be found, before the edges are finished with blocky lugs along the sides and star-shaped embossments on the toe and heel. Atop this lies a Baroque Brown midsole with Air text and a thick line rising out of the heel and a groove filled with brown stitching along its top edge. Inside, the midsole contains soft foam cushioning, and a springy pocket of encapsulated Air supports the heel, delivering superior comfort to the wearer.

The premium leather upper continues in the same vein, its various panels all coming in Baroque Brown. This includes the forefoot mudguard, which surrounds and protects the perforated toe box, the eyestay, whose asymmetrical eyelets accommodate dark brown laces, and the midfoot panels, each of which hosts two further ventilation holes. Meanwhile, another large overlay enwraps the heel, which itself has a leather strip running up its centre. About halfway up, this band of brown leather meets the heel panel, whose surface has been embroidered with a Nike Air logo in fine Baroque Brown thread.

The shoe’s plush inner lining and insole are also Baroque Brown in tone, though the latter piece has the logo of each collaborating brand printed onto it in differing shades. Firstly, there is Nike Air branding in white, and secondly, there is the Supreme box logo, which features white text written into a bright red box. Similar lettering has been woven through the brown label in the tongue’s peak, except here it all appears in brown thread, with the words “Air Force 1” added through the centre.

Two sets of laces come with the shoe: a plain brown pair and another whose Baroque Brown length is adorned with the word Supreme over and over again in white. Whichever laces the wearer chooses are held in place by a fetching silver dubrae. AF-1 and Supreme text is etched into this metallic feature, and below it, a Baroque Brown swoosh has been embroidered onto the toe end of the eyestay.

Large Baroque Brown swooshes made of high-quality leather can be found stretching away from the heel tab and along each flank, finally coming to rest over each midfoot panel. Behind the lateral one, the lower part of the rear overlay displays another Supreme box logo, its vibrant colours completing the sneaker with an eye-catching flourish.
