Infinity Tour golf shoes

Nike began designing the Infinity Tour golf shoe in 2017 after pro player Brooks Koepka asked for a running shoe that he could golf in. In response, Nike crafted a high-performance golf shoe that could support players like Koepka to produce a high-speed swing, and a precise yet powerful game.

The Nike Infinity Tour debuted in 2020 with a stylish, water-resistant Flyknit upper that is lightweight and breathable. Its integrated tongue and reinforced lacing produce a sock-like fit, with a scooping, well-padded heel for comfortable Achilles protection and a sturdy external counter that stabilises the foot. A full-length Zoom Air Strobel layered over React foam delivers responsive, shock-absorbing cushioning, with a moderator plate for structure and stability. Three integrated outsole spikes optimise grip and balance throughout the swing, each one directly supported by a Hex Zoom Air pod that redistributes energy to allow a more powerful shot.

Nike updated the series in 2022 with the Infinity Tour NXT%. Its premium upper maintains breathability and comfort but has a more spacious and accommodating fit, with a seamless forefoot overlay protecting the toe and a layered eyestay that combines with the gusseted tongue to provide sturdy support and containment. Set into its full-length React midsole are two visible forefoot Zoom Air units that increase energy return while also delivering comfort and solid support, with a top-loaded midfoot shank for stability. The outsole spikes feature an updated shape that works with the natural twisting movement of the player to support them throughout the swing. Lastly, an extra spike has been added to the heel for better traction, and the base is significantly wider than its predecessor, thus improving stability and creating a more reliable underfoot experience.

The Nike Infinity Tour 2 was launched in 2024. Its Flyweave upper is lightweight, durable and easy to clean, with a flexible feel that breaks in quickly and supports natural movement. The updated internal fit heel pods are more comfortable and offer improved containment, especially when paired with the lacing structure, which includes different types of reinforced eyelets and secure central loops. There are two extra spikes on the forefoot of the outsole alongside a deep flex groove for better traction and movement. Meanwhile, the enhanced midsole foam provides a more consistent step, and the lower-profile Zoom Air units increase stability and control.

In the autumn of 2024, Nike released the Infinity Tour 2 GORE-TEX as an update to the all-weather Shield variants of previous iterations. Its rugged features include a high collar and reinforced eyestays to keep water and debris out, convenient pull tabs on the tongue and heel, and the combination of a knitted sockliner, seamless upper and GORE-TEX membrane, which protect the wearer from harsh conditions.
