As one of the oldest and most trusted running shoes in Nike’s extensive lineup, the Pegasus has long been known for offering a reliable balance of comfort, durability and accessibility. Since becoming a core franchise in the brand’s revamped running collection in late 2024, its focus has also encompassed responsive cushioning. As a result, the modern Pegasus series provides runners with a versatile combination of soft cushioning, hard-wearing longevity, solid stability and springy energy return for all types of daily training.

ZoomX foam: Soft, lightweight and energy-returning foam offers excellent shock absorption and plush comfort. It has been tuned for daily training, with a more durable composition than that used on Nike’s racing shoes.
ReactX foam: Highly responsive foam enhances energy return while also being firm enough to ensure durability and stability. Manufactured using energy efficient methods, its carbon footprint is 43% lower than that of other midsole foams.
Zoom Air: Pressurised airbags filled with pressurised nitrogen gas and tensile fibres provide ultra-responsive support and highly effective shock absorption.

Lightweight upper combines circular-knit fabric for flexible comfort and outstanding breathability over the top of the foot with reinforced sidewalls made from a mono mesh material that provides structural support without inhibiting ventilation.
Sturdy heel counter secures the back of the foot, with cushy padding to maintain superior comfort.
Extra top eyelet offers additional lacing options.
Dynamic midfoot system combines with sturdy eyelets and secure lacing to provide solid lockdown and a secure fit.

Three-layered midsole reaches 45mm in the heel, delivering exceptional shock absorption and comfort while optimising the performance of the Zoom Air to maximise responsiveness and produce a unique running experience.
Top layer of lightweight ZoomX foam engages directly with the foot to create a soft, bouncy sensation.
First running-specific, full-length, visible Zoom Air unit sits beneath the ZoomX, its carefully contoured shape closely matching the curvature of the foot to provide efficient transitions and maximum energy return throughout the entire step. It also brings a firmness to the soft foam above, thus improving stability.
ReactX foam has been strategically placed beneath the heel to increase durability and stability without compromising energy return.
10mm drop focuses on cushioning comfort and works best for heel strikers.

Outsole fully covers the forefoot and the edges of the heel, its modified Waffle lugs featuring a diamond-like shape that provides good traction on pavements and roads, even in wet weather.
High-abrasion rubber and scaling of lugs to target high-wear zones improves durability for high-mileage daily training.
Longitudinal groove cuts weight, adds flexibility and guides the foot while also revealing the Zoom Air unit.
