Jordan 11 Retro

Plush materials and rich colours give this Jordan 11 Retro a sophisticated look. It has been built upon a Midnight Navy outsole with curvy edges, most of which is translucent, thus showing off the carbon fibre plate that stabilises the foot and the white Jumpman in its centre. Meanwhile, two opaque areas filled with herringbone grip patterns reside below the forefoot and heel to provide excellent traction. Below the arch of the foot, the outsole bends inwards to reveal an intriguing checkerboard design on the underside of the white midsole. Made of plush Phylon foam, this springy component is enhanced by full-length Air cushioning, which ensures the foot is adequately supported from heel to toe.

On the upper, the use of comfortable materials continues with the velvet mudguard that encircles the entire shoe. Its ultra-soft exterior is shaded with Midnight Navy tones, as is that of the nubuck above it. The top part of the shoe is divided into a heel panel and another segment that lies over the top of the foot. Strips of Midnight Navy textile emerge from the seams between this last panel, the mudguard and the heel piece to stretch inwards over the quarter towards the tongue. Here, they form loops that act as eyelets through which the Midnight Navy laces can be threaded. These tie up over a tongue in the same deep shade of blue, a hue that repeats once more inside the sneaker. Here, it coats the lining and extends across the insole, which has a bright white Jumpman printed onto it.

Across its refined outer, this AJ11 is graced with a number of stylish accents. One is the Jumpman and Jordan text that appears in white over the middle of the tongue. Both words have been capitalised, with the letters turned on their sides, and a white Jumpman logo has been placed between them. The heel panel which bulges out from the collar’s Midnight Navy topline is adorned with the number 23 in thick white digits as a reference to Jordan’s jersey number. Beside this on the lateral heel, a Metallic Silver Jumpman brings a concluding sheen to this classy Air Jordan design.
