Nike Air Force 1 Low x Supreme

This suave edition of the Nike Air Force 1 Low x Supreme collaboration incorporates a small range of classic colours, giving it a sophisticated look. Simply nicknamed Black for the mostly monochrome nature of its upper, the shoe has been constructed upon a grippy rubber outsole in a vintage gum brown tone. This coats everything from the stars embossed onto the toe and heel to the lugs along its edges and the circular tread formations radiating over both the forefoot and heel. Layered over this strong foundation is an all-white midsole with capitalised Air lettering embossed onto its lateral heel and a thick line rising up out of the back of the foot. This elegant covering conceals a foam-filled centre with Air cushioning in the heel that creates a highly comfortable platform for the wearer to walk upon.

The upper then switches to a contrasting black, which blankets the whole thing from heel to toe. It is made from a water-resistant fabric to help protect the wearer and has been arranged in the same way as the iconic AF1 silhouette – with an underlayer visible on the toe box and midfoot, and overlays around the forefoot, the back of the shoe and the eyestay. Black metal ringlets reinforce the eyelets in this last feature, meaning that the black laces are held firmly in place as they tie up over the tongue, which is black as well. Even the lace dubrae comes in this dark hue, its surface etched with AF-1 and Supreme text.

Inside, the shoe reveals a surprising splash of red, which coats the insole. White branding effects highlight the collaborative efforts of Nike and Supreme upon this vibrantly coloured sockliner, before the inner walls return to black. A white patch then brightens up the top of the tongue. A black and white Supreme logo has been woven into its surface below the familiar Nike Air and Air Force 1 branding. Another Nike Air logo has been embroidered into the heel tab, this time using eye-catching white thread, and black swooshes adorn the flanks. Emerging from behind the tail of the lateral Nike tick is a red tag that imitates Supreme’s instantly recognisable box logo – a fitting conclusion to this classy design.
