The adidas Gazelle is one of the German brand’s most long-standing silhouettes, dating all the way back to the mid 1960s. One of the initial designs was made specifically for indoor sports, and though the model has taken many forms over the years since, this is something that remains a key part of today’s Gazelle Indoor.

The slender build of the adidas Gazelle Indoor is one of the main things that sets it apart from others in the line. This shape gives it a sleek style to go with the classic aesthetic created by the Three-Stripes logos on the flanks, the Trefoil-adorned heel tab and the T-toe overlay. Meanwhile, the textured tongue brings added complexity to the outer, whose suede and leather construction is highly durable.

Underfoot, the Gazelle Indoor is defined by its translucent gum rubber cupsole, which is marked with circular and Trefoil-shaped grip patterns for high-quality traction. Its partially see-through nature reveals some of the upper behind the midsole, producing a compelling visual effect around the bottom part of the shoe.

With the resurgence of the Gazelle in the early 2020s, the adidas Gazelle Indoor was used as a collaborative canvas by various creative groups and individuals, from skateboarder Blondey McCoy to luxury fashion label Kith and Puerto Rican music artist Bad Bunny. Each one delivered unique colourways that now sit alongside the vast collection of general release editions of this classy, retro-inspired sneaker.
