Nike launched its first Motiva walking shoe in 2023 to bring a feeling of joy into ordinary, everyday movement. Three years later, the brand revisited this design with the Nike Motiva 2, introducing small upgrades that had a significant effect on performance.

The Motiva 2 features a layered mesh upper that is sleek, lightweight and highly breathable. With extra room added from the toe to the arch, it accommodates a wide range of foot types, with plush padding around the collar to enhance comfort and secure the heel. There is a convenient pull tab on the tongue, minimal no-sew overlays support the forefoot and heel, and a refined internal heel counter provides better stability. Lastly, the secure lacing system includes a large loop on the centre of the tongue that keeps everything firmly in place.

The foundation of the Nike Motiva 2 is a tall midsole made of soft, forgiving foam that offers all-day comfort. It has been sculpted into a curved rocker shape at both ends to help the foot transition smoothly through each step. This makes walking, jogging and running natural and easy, while the undulating Comfortgroove outsole has an updated tread with a distinctive pattern that allows the foam to compress efficiently for increased shock-absorption. Less rubber has been used, thus reducing weight and enhancing manoeuvrability without sacrificing traction.

Flowing design lines and minimalist branding give the Motiva 2 a refined, sporty look. Its sleek sidewall Swooshes are echoed by those on the rear midsole, with another mini logo adorning the forefoot and Nike lettering on both tongue and heel. The rubber outsole runs up the heel and toe of the midsole, emphasising its captivating rockered geometry as it visually connects to the slim overlays on the upper. Meanwhile, the large midsole stack and undulating outsole create a bold, eye-catching profile.

The Nike Motiva 2 builds on the success of its predecessor by enhancing its key features to offer even more comfort and lightweight support. Combined with its elegant style, this makes the silhouette ideal for daily walks, light exercise and casual wear.
