Nike’s modern skate shoe collection dates back to 2002, when the SB sub-label was launched. The innovative division demonstrated a strong commitment to the skateboarding community from the outset, designing performance footwear to serve skaters of all levels and styles. In line with this, the Nike SB Malor was launched in 2024 as an accessible and long-lasting silhouette for beginners.

On its upper, the SB Malor blends robust layers of canvas and suede, with hard-wearing overlays sewn firmly into place with dual lines of stitching to ensure they can withstand the rigours of repetitive practice. The extended toe bumper has a triple-stitched seam securing its top layer, making it even more resistant to the damage done by constant scraping against grip tape. Meanwhile, its pointed toe box is ideal for performing flicks and has enough wiggle room inside to provide an accommodating fit. Soft padding on the tongue and collar enhance comfort, and the traditional lacing system locks the foot in place with the help of the central tongue loop. Lastly, the topmost eyelets are reinforced to add a final touch of durability.

The sole unit of the Nike SB Malor features a vulcanised construction, which offers flexibility as well as a broken-in feel. Double layers of rubber foxing tape around the forefoot and heel improve durability for long practice sessions, while the Solarsoft foam insole delivers comfort without compromising boardfeel.
